Calendar (Community)

 

The steps outlined within this tutorial may alter depending on the device you are using to access the Degarrin website. Some features may vary depending on the user’s permission level on the site.

 

This tutorial is to instruct on the use of the Community Calendar.

 

Accessing the Community Calendar

 

  1. Go to the main menu area and select Community, and from the drop down menu select Community Calendar.

Viewing Calendar

 

Month, Week, Day, and List

  1. There are four ways to view the Calendar: Month, Week, Day and List. These types of views allows you to be able to navigate and view the calendar simply.  

 

  1. Month View - When you first open the calendar you will be on the month view. Here you can see each day of the month and any events that are listed for that day. If you navigate off the month and start to view day or week, you can easily return to month by pressing the Month button at the top right of the calendar. If you wish to view a different month then you can press the back and forward buttons at the left of the calendar.

 

 

  1. Week View - To view the week you can press the Week button at the top right of the calendar. This will allow you to view the dates of the current week. If you wish to move to the previous or next week, click on the back and forward buttons at the top left of the calendar.

  

                             

 

  1. Day View - If you wish to view a certain day of that month simple click on the date you wish to view in the Month View. If you are wanting to view the current date you can simply click on the Day button at the top right of the calendar. If you wish to move to the previous or next day, click on the back and forward buttons at the top left of the calendar.   

 

                              

 

  1. List View - The list view shows you a list of all events, past, present and future. To see this click on the List Button at the top right of the calendar. To see future dates in the list click on the back and forward buttons at the top left of the calendar.

                              

 

Adding an Event to your Google or Outlook Calendar

 

  1. When you wish to add an event to your own Google or Outlook calendar, click on the event to open it. At the top right you will see a copy to button; click on it and a drop down will appear. You have two options to either copy to a Google or Outlook calendar. Click on the one you want and it will take you to your calendar and open it as a new event. Press the Save button on your calendar window.    

 

Printing

 

  1. If you wish to print the month, week, day or list, at the top left of the calendar you will see the print button . Click on it and it will take you to another window, here you can print as normal by clicking Ctrl+P or by clicking on the your file menu and pressing print. When printing an event from the calendar, open the event and at the top right corner press the print button. This will take you to the print screen window where you can press print.  

 

 

Share

 

  1. To share an event on social media click on the event to open it. At the top left you will see three social media buttons. Click on the one you wish to share, a new window will appear. If you are not logged into your account, it will ask you to do so. Once logged in you can share the event.  

 



Search

 

  1. To search the calendar go to the main menu area and on the right side of the calendar you will see the search field. Type in the item you wish to look up and press enter.
